Type Locality:
Composite and compiled from outcrops in the vicinity of Chedabucto Lake. 62 deg 21'07"N, 115 deg 36'W.

Distribution:
0 m Alexander Point Area, 0 to 76 m (0-250 ft) west of Faber Lake. Known to occur from immediately south of Alexander Point to north of Faber Lake, Great Slave Lake region.

Lithology:
Thickly-bedded to massive dolomite, red to brown in south, grey in north, purplish-red mottling present in southern outcrops, some chert and silicified fossils, sandy and conglomeratic over Precambrian knobs.

Relationship:
Sharp but transitional into underlying La Martre Falls Fm and unconform-able with the overlying Chinchaga Fm. Locally rests directly on Precambrian rocks. This formation first appears as a lentil within the uppermost part of the Mirage Point Fm south of Alexander Point. Referred to as map-unit 10 by Douglas and A.W. Norris (1960).
