Originator: Originally termed Sicker Series by Clapp and Cooke (1917); Renamed Sicker Group by Fyles, 1955.

Distribution:
The group is extensively exposed in the Alberni map-area.

Lithology:
The Sicker Group consists of a lower metavolcanic rock unit, a middle greywacke, argillite and minor tuff, and an upper limestone belonging to the Buttle Lake Formation (Muller et al., 1974).
