Type Locality:
Goose Fiord, southern Ellesmere Island.

Distribution:
According to Greiner 308 m thick; the lower 60 m is mainly dolomite and the remainder silty dolomite. The formation is exposed along the south side of Schei Syncline, southern Ellesmere Island, but is absent on the north side.

Lithology:
Dolomitic siltstone and dolomite.

Relationship:
Conformably overlies Devon Island Formation and is conformably overlain by Blue Fiord Formation.
